After reading this post yesterday, I used acrylic latex in a painting for the very fist time. I absolutely love the results.

the coverage is so uniform, and the touch is quite smooth. I’m in the process of making swatches of the colors I use most, and having latex paint tinted to match.

If so, you probably completely understand it when I say that painting is more than the visual end product, it’s just as much about the feelings that come about while your engaged in the process of creating it.

My husband plays guitar. He can also play other instruments…but he sticks to the one that feels best. I think musicians and painters are a lot alike.

Interesting! Actually, I did most of my branching out earlier in my twenties. Trying to define my style and create a look that is notable and recognizable is one of the biggest challenges an artist can face and I’m pretty happy that I found my voice.

I did a lot of abstract work when I was first trying to define my style, but it felt angry and came at a time in my life when I was trying to cope with a lot of pain.

When I tapped into my potential to spread a message of optimism, I knew I had found my calling. So, that is what I work on every day…following my purpose and it makes me feel happy. Fortunately for me, it seems to do the same for a lot of other people too. So, yeah – I think I found my niche.

Creating to me is more than the exploration of different mediums, it’s about giving life to a business, a philosophy, a brand, products, jobs, and the art that I love to make is just icing on the cake for me.
